Hold on, and welcome the darkness. Let go and embrace forgiveness...

Unfortunatly this post is comming a little bit late of the actual event...I was distracted due to my recent purchace of Dirge of Cerberus. In exchange for my soul I now have sixty hours of amazing gameplay and the continuation of one of the best storylines in RPG history. Awesome.
Final Fantasy 12 is being released on October 31st...between these two I may never leave my appartment again.
But, back to the more important mog-matter at hand. This past Friday I found myself at one of the best concerts I have been to in a great while. To start it all off Damian Marley put on a great show--as always. It was highly energetic and the crowd was feelin' it all the way. I also have to mention the crazy flag-waving dude. He never tired, he never faltered...props to the flag guy. P.S. Nice gloves. Then Ben Harper came on. His set was amazing. He performed with all of the grace and class of an old-souled musician. He played my favorite song of his: Diamonds on the Inside and I was so moved by his musical passion. I can't think of words befitting such an amazing performance at this early hour. Just trust me...it was damn good. On top of that the bass player busted out one of the greatest twenty minute bass solos I have seen since Victor Wooten. He went all out and I was lovin' every minute of it. (I was also jealous beyond belief...one of these days, man, one of theses days...I'll play like that.) Everyone in that band is tallented. It's a simple declarative sentance. They're just damn good. But, then the unthinkable happened. The completly unimaginable happened. Carlos Santana came out and played three songs with Ben Harper. I couldn't believe it. I was essentially speechless with the exception of the high-pitched squeaking noises immenating from my gaping mouth. I was in absolute awe. There was the man, no more than five feet away from me, who I have been listening to all my life. A musical god. You go to a concert expecting to see a good show. You assume that there will be some good perfomances by tallented people. What you don't expect is to be graced with the presence of such a legend. I don't think I'll get over this for a while...at least until I've told everyone I know four or five times. Carlos fucking Santana...man.
