Thinking back, I wasn't too crazy about Black Mountain the first time i heard them. At the time, I was consuming massive amounts of new music. They just didn't fit what I was into at the time. But, lately, they keep sneaking their way into my shuffle and I stop to see who it is. It's Black Mountain AGAIN!
Maybe I DO like this retro rock (60's/70's style) more than I initially figured. There's something about these long-ass jams that sound good around 2 in the morning.
It's a little like Jefferson Airplane meets Black Sabbath... in the basement... on acid... circa 1972.

lady c turned me on to these guys when the first album came out. they have such a great variety of sounds within their sound. i can listen over and over and still find something new to appreciate.
