So, I got my grubby hands on an advance copy of Christina Aguilera's new CD, Back to Basics, and ... It's REALLY GOOD. I mean surprisingly good for a former(?) pop princess.She's definitely said 'adios' to those pop roots and went for a very blues-y, yet modern, approach to this album.Plus, the girl can sing. No one can argue with that.

watchbatteries says I take it she's signed to Columbia? Damn, the new song is catchy, and the whole DJ Premier thing helped. On the hey-this-is-good-but-you-would-not-think-this-tip, Nelly Furtado's new album is good, but then again I have had 1) a crush on her since 7th grade or whenever her first album came out and 2)Timbaland is representing the 7 Cities strong with his production.

elor says Im so glad to hear that its good! I have to admit, she is always on my "on a treadmill and miserable" mix, as well as my "just broke up and need some girl time" mix... im not crazy about the single, but im not mad at it, and im excited to hear what the album is like.. i feel much better now that its got your stamp on it. thanks.

CBSchick says watchbatteries... Christina's on the RCA label. This is actually the first album of hers I own. I don't think I would have bought it either but I'm glad it landed in my hands.
