WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Wildcat

This song is SO GOOD I can't wipe the smile off my face. Finally, something that rocks. I have been listening to country, cajun folk, and Japanese women singing spanish love ballads and literally DYING for something good to come out in the rock realm.God bless ratatat. I really didn't want to end the summer in such a lull.

  1. Spencer Owen says What did you think of that first record? (if you did think of it at all) I think it's quite stronger; it's odd to me that they laid out the template and then only slightly modified it with the second record. But there are definitely other artists with whom I would be happy to be given the same thing over and over with slight reworkings, so the point may be moot. "Wildcat" is pretty cool though. Especially the, uh, samples of the wildcat.

  2. Pam says Mmmmm, yes. They are rather delicious. The song Lex makes my head bob uncontrollably. Loud Pipes is the kind of chill I want when I'm painting. They're a welcome change to all the breathy, neo-shoegazer stuff (which I love, but come on, how many Cold Plays do we need?) and the ambient, down-tempo flood. Look for them soon on a soundtrack.

  3. CBSchick says SOMA, the first record is OK but this one is much better.

  4. CBSchick says Pam, Lex is also REALLY good too! I hope if they make it to a soundtrack, that it's just not the soundtrack to cereal or hair care products.

  5. mcdermott says hot damn....i guess i should have caught up on my notifications after vacation before posting on my mog that everyone should go out and buy this album. i too like this album better than their last....the new one seems to have more variation between the songs..... anyway, i think i'm going to have to look through your music collection for music you have that i don't because we seem to like the same shizzle....
