asrati says Well, I am a Nick Drake fan... a big one ... pre-Volkswagen-ad and everything! And saw this post earlier and passed it by. I wondered why. Maybe I did not want him de-mystified. On the other hand, I didn't want to put up with maudlin mythologizing. Or maybe its because, apart from the music, I find the notion of Nick the man to be a sad one, and don't as a rule seek out ways to feel sad. But I'm glad I watched, particularly for the glimpse of his mother's influence on him as a composer. I had no inkling of that aspect of his art.
