Holy crap it's been a shit long time since I've posted/wanted to post anything at all. But this is just too damn awesome to pass up. I'm sure you know these crazy bastards. And their crazy awesomeness.
Well, the kindly folks over at You Ain't No Picasso, a pretty bad ass indie music blog, if you're into that sort of thing....
They've compiled a whole buttload of Of Montreal cover songs. And I mean...a whole buttload. Apparently he scoured the forums of the E6 Townhall which is, for the uninitiated, a sort-of posthumous tribute to the Elephant 6 record company and the bands it housed. (If unfamiliar with E6 please see this.) It's a pretty cool place where you can find a lot of rare bootlegs and info on some pretty sweet bands (Neutral Milk Hotel, Of Montreal, The Apples in Stereo). Anyone can join, so if you have an overt love of weird underground 90s shit, check it out here.
Anyway, back to Of Montreal. I'm pretty sure this is every song they have ever covered, which includes several David Bowie tunes, some Rolling Stones, Prince, etc. Just a crazy array of stuff, spanning the length of the entire musical spectrum.
