MOG MOG

BECAUSE THE WEB MOSTLY SUCKS

If not for the fact that they were arguably the greatest rock band ever, they might well be just another 60s band named after a creature.   But no, The Beatles are The Beatles, and any referent outside of them is neither here nor there.  Curiously, an image of a beetle was never to my knowledge employed in any graphic work associated with them.   "I Am The Walrus" rarity boosted from courtesy of marknavl.  ...Pancakes woodworking umpire.

Walrus & I Want You (She's So Heavy) represent the absolute apex of Beatle Music.

I always think of a line from the classic Simpsons episode that parodies the Beatles (Homer joins a barbershop quartet) where they are trying to think of a name and one of them suggests paraphrased "Let's have a name that's a funny joke that get's progressively less funny everytime it's said" "How about the B-Sharp's?" "Yeah, the B-Sharps - heh"

Remember when John incurred the wrath of hardcore entomologists by claiming that "We're bigger than the beetles now"?

Well, I have to chime in and say how MUCH I disagree with DMDM. I don't even have either of these tracks in my iTunes. That's how much I treasure them.

I take dmdm for a Johnite, dermahrk for a Paulist.

I'm a converted Johnite. Lennon was unbeatable through Sgt. Pepper, in sad decline thereafter. But yes, I'm a huge Macca-booster these days.
