Does anyone have the setlist from the Shins show in St. Louis on 2/11 at the Pageant? I really enjoyed the show. Amazing energy! Even the guy doing the lights was rocking out. Viva Voce ripped it up too.

I hope they come near San Francisco soon. I really want to see them live.

I've liberated my Music collection and it feels pretty damn good! I've broken the DRM on all of my purchased iTunes songs. It took me a while because it was a few thousand songs, but it is worth it to me. I buy lots of music and I go to a fair number of shows. I also like to share my music with freinds to let them know what I'm excited about. iTunes makes that difficult. Is this stealing? According to Apple's Terms of Service, yes. In my opinion, no. I think I should be allowed to share some songs with friends. I should be allowed to stream my music through other devices. I realize there are folks out there who have never payed for a song. I don't think that's cool. The Record Companies and the RIAA could spend a bit more time and energy developing a better product instead of going after a few scofflaws. ''Bye-bye Protected AAC files. Hello MP3s!'

DRM was one of the world's worst inventions. But when you put up boundaries, people will find a way to tear them down. Thank goodness for geeks. :)

I know we could talk about this all day long but it is so true. Such a pain in the ass right now. I have wma files I can't play on my iPod and vice-versa, I hate having to have two different kinds of media players on my computers, I had losing my mind trying to keep it all straight, and I can't find an easy way to get around this and who wants to be arrested? It's such bs and the only people it hurts are 1) artists and 2) users. It "protects" NOBODY.
