Almost forgot that we had tix for the show and raced out at the last minute!

So glad we made it there.  The Old 97s played a wonderful wonderful amazing show.  They played a nice number of their newest songs and lots of their older classics.  The entire band with leader singer cutie patootie man Rhett had incredible energy and enthusiasm.  They came back with multiple enthusiastic encores. Lots of dancing with each alcoholic group staying in their sections...the cocktail drinkers on the right, the beer drinkers upstairs.  We had a fun experiment where we found a dollar on the floor.  We tried to give it to the first guy we saw near where the dollar had fallen, but he looked concerned and refused it.  We then draped the dollar over the over 21 divider to see what would happen.  Several people walked by, were intrigued the the money, looked closer, saw that it was only a dollar and kept going.  Luckily it migrated its way down by the gal who was checking identifications and she nabbed it.  Yeah!  Apparently they enjoy Portland town and will be back in September!
