The Quick and Easy Boys - Portland Funky Tonk
Here's another young band from Portland that I'm digging these days. I found this description of their sound from CDBaby. I think it says it all:
"Imagine Funkadelic and Willie Nelson had a baby, and that baby was raised by the Minutemen..."
I've seen them live a couple of times and they are a damn good time. All three players are top notch. The guitar player, Jimmy Russell, goes by the name of Elvis O'Reilly and the bass player, Sean Badders, goes by the name of Don Lifejacket. Need I say more?
