12 Days of X-Mas: First recorded X-mas Rap!

Clearly, John Denver is only a personal favorite. After licking my Mog wounds on the last one, I've got some hot Muppet inspired love for all who are looking for a Christmas that's just a little less white.
In 1970, Northern Calloway joined the cast of Sesame Street as the hip young black law-studnet and 5 and dime clerk, David. Tragically, Calloway died in 1990 of stomach cancer. In 1975, he recorded this diddy as part of Merry Christmas from Sesame Street.
The song is Christmas Eve on Sesame Street, but the cadence, delivery, and adaptation are strictly Hip-Hop. Keep in mind the year is 1975 and it sounds like it. This is a very hard recording to find, if you do, get it.
For those in a more adult-themed mind about Christmas raps, hold tight. I got you on the next post.

That was good
This really shows how cool Sesame Street was in the 70s. In Britain it was required adult watching every Saturday night. And I agree with the hip hop cadences - not to mention
