The new Seal cd makes me sad

Seal's first cd is still one of my favorites ever. I know that ever since Seal's second cd had a hit with "Kiss From a Rose", he has largely been known as a mellow love-song dentist office music kind of guy, but he has always been much more than that, in my opinion. In fact, "Kiss From a Rose" is an incredibly well written and unique song, even though it is likely seen as an old bland "standard" by most. However, back to my main point - I miss the Seal that experimented with acoustic, rock, electronic, alternative, dance, etc. He wrote lyrics with such emotion. His songs were often depressing, but had a glimmer of hope in them, along with a powerful and unique voice that seemed to fit every genre perfectly. Then...something changed.....gradually, especially after "Human Being" (and it's incredibly creepy cover!), he became....well....bland. Luckily for him personally, he seems to be happily married to an incredibly beautiful model, and his music has, as a whole, gotten progressively worse since then. I suppose that what is good for one's life is not good for one's art, and this seems to be the case, I'm guessing. How did he go from how he began to a guy wearing suits and singing old r+b standards? I hope this is just a detour in something new for him and he'll find his way back to be adventurous and experimental once again....simply an experiment that I don't particularly care for....but I'm sure others will...everyone has their own opinion though and this is just mine!

I don't know much about Seal, apart from Kiss From A Rose, which sounds a bit sappy to me :/
To the point, it's frustrating to see an artist you fancy change to the worse, isn't it. I experienced this with Garbage and The Killers, and it's not pleasant. Who knows what the factors are....changes in personal life, changes in record labels..either way it's a bitter feeling.
