Has anybody heard "Everybody Loves A Happy Ending"?

Has anyone heard the Tears For Fears cd called "Everybody Loves A Happy Ending"? I think it's an amazing cd and it kills me that it wasn't heard by more people. If you're into Beatles-esque pop, intelligent lyrics (except for "Call Me Mellow" - sorry!), lush orchestration, and catchy hooks, I bet you'll love this cd too. I can't believe how underrated these guys are. I think they're geniuses. I hope they stay together and make more new music together. So...has anyone else in the world heard this cd and, if so, what do you think about it?

    lemontwist says I haven't heard it yet, but Tears For Fears has been in the back of my mind on my "I should check these guys out sometime when I remember" list for a long time, since falling in love with Everybody Wants To Rule The World. Which always reminds me of the awesome last scene in Real Genius with all the popcorn. Fantastic movie. Anyway, I should check 'em out. Thanks for the reminder. :)

    ccrjake says to be honest - i really don't care for this album. tears for fears are my favorite band, and this would definitely be my least favorite of their 6 thus far. your description is accurate, in that this CD sounds like the Beatles..but for me, it sounds TOO MUCH like them. i love the Beatles, and I don't really get excited about my favorite band ripping them as hard as they do on some of these tracks like "who killed tangerine?" and the title track. however, i do think there are some very good tracks here, "the devil" being my personal favorite. "Secret World" and "Last Days on Earth" are pretty good as well. i think i would like this album more if i wasn't such a diehard TFF fan, and i'm glad to see that some people are digging on this group and giving them the credit that they deserve!

    Brett Schieber says Thanks, ccrjake. It's good to know there are other TfF's fans out there. I'm not much for bands ripping other band's, but I just love this cd. Of course, I love the Beatles too, and TfF does too, obviously. I love "Who Killed Tangerine?", despite it's obvious musical references. But...we all have different opinions...and we all just like what sounds pleasing to us....so, based on that alone, I love the cd. I'm hoping that they continue on and make more cds together. They've been very coy about their future together....Anyway, nice to meet you and thanks!
