Anti-Flag teams up with Greenpeace

Posted over 2 years ago

This summer we've had the awesome opportunity to team up with Greenpeace, an international environmental activist organization, on the Warped Tour. Together we're spreading the world about how the threat of climate change requires immediate action.

We're already seeing the effects of global warming all around us - more intense heat waves that disproportionately affect the elderly and poor, more severe storms that wreak havoc on our homes and communities, and all kinds of changing cycles in the natural world. To avert catastrophe we need urgent action from world leaders to create a new climate treaty that will reduce global warming pollution according to what climate science demands.

Greenpeace and Anti-Flag are calling upon President Obama to be more than just a representative of your country but to be a world leader and personally attend the United Nations Climate Summit in Copenhagen
in December 2009.

Decisions will be made at this meeting which will impact the lives of everyone alive today and determine the shape of our future.

This is the world's best chance to avoid runaway climate change. President Obama owes it to the world to attend, to set aside short sighted interests, to safeguard our future, and to do what he was elected to do: lead.
