One-time Mancunian punk band turned dance punk formed mid-1977. Took their name from a lyric from the Brian Eno song "The True Wheel". Starting out on Factory Records alongside Joy Division. Their stuff can now be found reissued on Soul Jazz Records. Go check.

From the golden age of hip-hop (1988), this Brentwood, Long Island, NY group released their first full-length major label release Strictly Business that year. My favorite track from the album is this one. Featuring samples from Otis Redding, Beatie Boys and The JB's. This is one of the classic grooves from that era. The Swedist Thing

Brown leather boots...reindeer hides...Dungen are overtly derivative. But they are really good at it. They sound like a heavy metal/prog/hippie band from either England or The States (sans the Sveedish!) in the early 70's. Their last album Tio Bitar was great but I think I enjoyed this one better. Their show in Atlanta September 2005 was spectacular. They played the Bonnaroo festival in 2006.
