I love ambient (dare I say it, post-rock) music. One of the best bands out there in this genre is **Sigur Ros**, from Iceland. I'm not going to describe their music with any other words but tragic beauty. They are awesome, and one great thing about them is you can hear how their music has evolved from the first release, _Von_, to their latest, _Takk..._ I also love how the song, _"Myrkur"_ from _Von_ sounds like a **My Bloody Valentine** song.

Lyla says i had this phase about a year ago where i could only fall asleep if sigur ros was playing in the background. a boyfriend broke me of the habit (he has since been released from duty - i mean, what more did i really need to know?), but sometimes i still get the itch. there's something that boggles my mind about sigur ros. we're talking about a band that doesn't sing in english and half the time sings in a made up language, and it's STILL completely heartbreaking to listen to sometimes. blows me away.

autohypnosis says Sigur Ros is great. Saw them live last year, and needless to say, it was an amazing show.
