Just yesterday, a friend pointed me to Johnny Hollow, a artsy band from Ontario. Interesting dark atmospheric music with just enough electronics to earn my attention. I like the use of a cello in a role that might otherwise use a theremin (though the cello definitely fits these songs better). The fact that, of all the songs in the world, they chose to cover The Doors' "People are Strange" might give you a hint as to their style.
