A piece for Crash I made
This song, Naima, is one of the songs we discussed at the café. I remember the day I just played it off my laptop and set it on the chair. We carried on in conversation, introduced him to some old friends I hadn't seen in years. Was a special moment with Crash. Naima in Arabic is a word used to greet someone who has freshened up, taken a shower or accomplished a good deed. So in that sentiment, NAIMA Crash. NAIMA!!!

This is some house music Love going out to Crash Pryor (the man who introduced me to MOG), and all of you who love house music with jazzonic depth, deep deep storytelling attributes, HEART and SOUL with a purpose. As a house mixer for 15 years now, I have gone through so many aspects of house and this particular track is a keynote as to what I would play from now until the day my grandkids sit on my lap.
Ron Trent and Miquifay (aka Anthony Nicholson)
Track: REVOLUTION (Miquifay Extended pass remix) 2000
Compilation: ABSTRACT AFRO JOURNEY

A get-lost-in-this-one track. I love mixing this record with many others in my library that compliment it from the likes of Boobjazz, Kyoto Jazz Massive, and Kenny Dope Gonzo. I can go on and on... Just wanted to get this beautiful track out into your ears and let you know the house is coming... So for all you house fans who like it more than just cat-out-of-the-hat beats and loops, get ready...
FELL THIS TRACK NICE TRIP...
Enjoy
Mikey...

...pretty groovy stuff...feelin' it right about now (been sitting at desk all day)...I will take this with me during my commute...
My body is tired from writing all weekend.
I am consumed with the late hours and early silence of the dawn.
That is my place.
The place I go, simply go.
Sometimes there is purpose,
other times misdirection from the body yearning for one thing
as you relentlessly persist for something else.
The consequence abides to merciless corporeal disconnection.
The proverbial "check" the body writes you after an intense journey to that "place".
So, by that little neglected law of nature I plan on taking it easy tonight and lightly post.
No use in blowing out hard after three nights exchanged for three days.
Then again... the night is still young.
Maybe a good walk would do me some good.
My head feels like cement.
And it's not a bad thing.
I'll just let Jennifer Charles sing it for me.
This is Edgar A. Poe's work titled
Dream Within a Dream off of E.F's EP
Queen of the Meadow.
Enjoy...
