My brother always gives me grief for not posting more, but I am very much the procrastinator and almost manic/depressive in my actions in that I post a lot some weeks and then not at all for over a month. This may explain why I really dig this band, The Paper Chase.I was in the mood to listen to some rock that was beyond just mainstream and a little rough around the edges like Killdozer, The Jesus Lizard, McClusky, Flour, Mog Stunt Team, etc. I started to look on Rhapsody for those bands and see what Rhapsody recommended as similar artist. One of those results hit paydirt with these guys, The Paper Chase.
I was immediately intrigued by the song titles like "We Know Where You Sleep", "The Kids Will Grow Up to Be Assholes" and "You Will Never Take Me Alive". I go back and forth from happy music to warped music and I'm now in a warped music mood for the last several weeks so that's why I'm drawn to this CD.One writer said about them, "The Paper Chase's sound is hard to describe in the same way The Residents can't easily be summed up. They are warped. They are wrong. They are wonderful.
