WHERE THE HOKEY POKEY "IS" WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT

Artist:
Album:

I was stuck in the wife's car last Friday again, so I dragged out my old cassette tape collection and popped in the Toadies album - "Rubberneck". They had a modest alternative rock hit with "Possum Kingdom." At the time, I didn't think much of the song when it came out, but my brother, Bill, who I was living with at the time, got the CD. Also at the time, I had a very loud CD player configuration in my car (before it got stolen forcing my poor ass to replace it with a tape player). This was one of the CDs that sounded just right at maximum volume. You'll get definite looks from other people with songs like "Away" kick in with their high-pitched guitar intros.

Yeah, I forgot about them. I used to love "Mexican Hairless" I think it's called. Damn, yet another album to add to my get-it-now list. It never ends, thank god.

This is one band that I was mistified why they took so long to release a follow-up. By then, no one cared. Still, they have this one to remember them by.
