I've been away for awhile, and after all the problems MOG's been having, i suppose i am lucky to have missed the worst of it (we hope!). As the picture above relates, I've been a bee-sy guy. I've just bought a nice little house on the East coast to retire to. Unfortunately I won't be retiring for 10-12 years, so will be renting it out.
I know it's a crappy pic, but it was taken right off the MLS spec page.
Goin' down this Aug. to enjoy/work and prepare for some lucky folk. Two blocks to the yacht club. Trail out my backdoor to Parlee Beach. Just a quaint little tourist town, lobster capital of.... well Canada anyway.I had thoughts of Blair while writing this. Wishing him all the best, and wishing I could just move East (I know, opposite direction. lol)tomorrow. I think Blair has brought out the wanderlust in all of us. I've added a Tom Waits tag, although I believe Mr. Waits is speaking of a different house, I still love this song. Lines like "come down off the cross, we can use the wood", classic Tom.....

Hey! So close to me, hour and a half drive! Well congrats, sir! You won't regret your choice (well, maybe in the winter, hehe). Cool beans!
So ah...how much you renting for? Haha! The beaches around there are fantastic, and only a couple of hours from Halifax for when you need a little city feel, or sushi or what ever. I've though myself of relocating there, as I have close friends, the beaches and it's about half way between mine and my guy's hometowns.
Welcome (back?) to New Brunswick, MOg get-together in your backyard? Which will be, like, you and me....haha!
I'll get the welcome wagon in gear.

Thanks K, beaches are the main reason for being there. 20 mins. to Moncton, and right near the water. I'm not from there but my parents were (Moncton, Sackville). My Grandmother had a couple cottages near Parlee, and we were there every summer, for a good number of years. I'm thinking my place will be like a dude ranch come Aug. Friends and family ( maybe a MOGger or two! ) will show up and receive a drink in one hand and a paint brush in the other. haha! Not sure what to charge for rent yet, but I know there are quite a number of goverment offices in town. I've also been told people commute to Dieppe or Moncton from Shediac....so I'll play it by ear

How awesome. A little rental income and maybe that retirement will come just a bit sooner. Best of luck!!

Hey Kev thanks, I am pretty excited. I figure i've already put in 23 years (holy shit!), whats another 10-12 years? Just itchin' to get down there. It took alot of shift changes and wheelin' dealing, but I got the WHOLE month of Aug. off.
Thanks Ash, any time I can shave off working, means more time on the beach. Ya hooooo!
