YOU CAN'T NOT GET NO SATISFACTION

the Meat Purveyors

Posted over 3 years ago
Whiskey-fueled and case-hardened deep in the heart of Texas, TMP boast a personal history that would shame Fleetwood Mac, and wood shedding that sends so-called roots revivalists, snooty bluegrass purists, and alt-country poseurs into paroxysms of self-doubt and years of expensive therapy.

The Meat Purveyors are doing their best to keep bluegrass from tottering meekly into a dust-covered coffin. Help them, won't you? You don't want them to get too riled up.

Look for their new CD, Someday Soon Things Will Be Much Worse! out on Bloodshot Records on July 18th!

Representative Quote: "Somebody get me a stiff drink." - Jo Walston

  1. sndgls73 says Being a trusted mog makes me shudder to think I should be setting a good example. But that probably won't happen no matter how much I shudder. Just when I was thinking the Meat Purveyors have ceased to exist...I learn they're putting out new disc...and then ceasing to exist. How sad. But they always give a good excuse to drink and calling it quits is as good a reason as any. Besides, Maine is a small place...there may be a Purveyor citing yet.

  2. slackline radio says Got to see these guys play a small venue in Fairbanks, Alaska two nights in a row. I must say, it was a cosmic experience filled with heavy vibes and plenty of rough lyrics and heavy guitars picked by none other than Mr. Anderson. Great stuff. But I am a little partial.
