A lack of new music
So I had a massive hardware computer failure and I was without a computer for over a month. I'm just glad that I had my mp3 player already loaded with a odd variety of music consisting of russian heavy metal/rock/etc, drum and bass, electronica, industrial, jazz, and a few other genres so I could switch from one to another when I got tired of one.
Anyways, I now have a working computer and can now listen to new music on my mp3 player finally.
So over this month of being forced to listen to the same music I've found that I enjoy the following bands (might have been due to being forced to listen to them:
Piknik (Russian Rock band)
Pendulum (Drum and Bass)
I listened to Pouring Pain and What Comes Tomorrow by the band Ima Robot way too many times. The same goes for Just Like Murder by Maktub, and later on Illusion by VNV Nation. Needless to say I had an interesting and somewhat emotionally trying holiday.
I also listend to Don't Mes With Me by Temposhark in that mix on occasion.
Tried listening to the new Pain album Cynic Paradise but I just couldn't get into it.
I listened to Volbeat to the point where I can't listen to them anymore.
I also had a selection of nostalgic music that I put on my player right before my computer died. Apparently if I listen to Prodigy it reminds me of being in high school and doing stupid high school things.
There was more, but since I had the entire Piknik discography on my player I mainly listened to that.
On a side now, I like the new Franz Ferdinand album. Especially the track Lucid Dreams. This might have been due to the drum and bass listening habits right before my computer showed up but I really liked the random techno beat at the end of that song.
Now to have MOG spend a billion hours indexing my music. Hopefully unlike when I did it back in 2006 for the first time it wont mess up what it reports.

Ack, sorry to hear about the computer problems. But hey, here's to a new era!
I like the new Franz, too. There are a few songs that could have been left out, but basically the aftertaste is good.
