It's getting closer!
And I can't wait. Even though I'll have to.
So, here's how it breaks down for me...I'm going to go see OneRepublic and John Mayer in concert on August 30th in Tampa. Naturally, I'm excited. Even though my group- which, by the by, consists of my sister, her fiance, me, one of my sister's friends and the afforementioned friend's boyfriend- will be enjoying the show from afar. VERY afar. 23 rows from the stage afar, to be exact, Row W, sect. 15, seats 1-5. Yeah. So there will be a lot of jumping up and down and screaming on my part, and hopefully no injuries caused by said jumping and screaming.
So John Mayer, if you're reading this (highly unlikely), don't forget to look for the psychotic, short, brunette kid in Row W who is waving her arms so much it looks like she's directing air traffic. Thanks.
Even though, once you think about it, if that was the case, the planes would be crashing in to one another. Ouch. So be thankful you can't find me at your local airport.
But, in the end, I have to remember...I'm going to the concert anyway, and if I have to be so far from the stage that I'll have to watch the concert on a huge screen, at least I won't be getting stepped on by people who got plastered five minutes BEFORE the opener like at the House of Blues. Silver lining, people.

Sweet saw Mayer in concert back in 2003. It was a good time. I took my mom.
BTW, I don't think your seats are THAT bad.
Well, neither do I...it just makes it more difficult to yell "WE LOVE YOU!!!" at whatever artist you're watching.
So excited!
ahhhahaha! :) have a blast!
Thanks so much!
52 days left...must hang on...
don't be too surprised if John Mayer himself reads this after all. as you know, he has his own MOG that he updates regularly. (i saw yr comment on his post) don't know if he even has the power to help out yr situation, but you never know!
either way, have loads of fun and try to get pictures for the rest of us!
I'll try! I didn't get any from OneRepublic at the House of Blues (No cameras-like hell), but this is an amphitheater, so I probabaly will.
Yay!
Wow...you're a local!!! I've seen many shows at the Ford Amp. It can be great or horrible. At least your under the tin, which is the only way to go for most shows. I've been rained on and frozen in the field before.
I hope the weathers perfect for you! It'll be a great show!
Thanks so much! I still can't believe I'm actually going...
Totally hear you on the plastering near the stage at the House Of Blues. Orlando, Las Vegas and Sunset Strip were all really scary situations that really put a bad vibe on fully enjoying a show.
I always think real hard about seeing an act when HOB is the venue. The security is more intense than the airport and it still gets out of hand just before the show starts. At least that's been my experience at every single show at the House Of Blues.
