It felt so...surreal. But it was so awesome. And Ryan Tedder's so dry and witty.Let's see...he was talking about the performance on American Idol. The band was planning to do "Say(All I need)" to promote it because it was their new single, but the producers were like, "No. You're doing Apologize." So, they were like, "Okay." Then, the band was told that they would be performing with (Ryan uses gay voice) "David Ar-chu-leta." And, according to Ryan, "Yes, that's really how they said it. David Ar-chu-leta." After that, the producers told them that David would be locking eyes with Ryan as his solo started, and Ryan said something like "What's your demographic?" Then, Ryan went on to say,"So, we (David and I) talked before the performance, and I said 'Dude, if you lock eyes with me during this song, I will jump up over this piano on my gimp leg and bust you in the head.' And David was like, '*whimper*'."It was awesome. Ryan also put on this Southern-Belle accent thing and was like, "Look, there's Drew on the bells. Hell's bells, y'all."And then, as the concert was coming to a close, the light went down in the House of Blues and Ryan was like, "And now, ladies and gentlemen, presenting...David Archuleta!" Then, Ryan started beatboxing and Eddie (the drummer) picked up the rhythm whist Ryan started singing in an unnaturally high voice. Then, the moment was over, and Ryan was like, "That was like the perfect gay 70s disco beat." And he was carefully stepping around making gay jokes about David Archuleta, but oh well.Oh! And Ryan also said that the band unanimously agreed that Orlando was their favorite place to perform and that they were happy that we didn't tell them to go jump off an cliff because they canceled on May 20th.Oh yeah...did I mention that their performance of "Come home" moved me to tears? It was written for a friend of the band's who got shipped to Iraq two weeks after he got engaged. It was that good.I swear to God, I love them. All of them. And where do Brent and Zach get off being so tall? And I will be going to Tampa (or West Palm) to see them again with John Mayer. Even though they're the opening act.So happy,BixbyCanyonBridge
