I have big, exciting news, I've actually known this news since last Friday but I've been way to busy to MOG about it. Next friday, as in 6 days from now I will officially a be Minnesotan. I accepted a job up there and start on Monday the 15th, ending my 2 year stint as a Chicagoan. It all happened super fast but it seems as much as I love Chicago, the city itself, it just doesn't love me the same way. It's far to large of a city and seems to have almost gobbled me up and I am making my escape to what seems like a nice mix of big city "Chicagoish" life and Iowa small town hospitality. I'm really excited for this move, over the past week I've been selling off all of my stuff and just moving up there with what I can fit in my little Civic and I can honestly say it's very liberating, a fresh new start, in an incredible city! While I'll miss Chicago a lot, Minneapolis here I come! Now for a video by my favorite, now fellow Minnesotan

  5. Betherz247 says Thanks everyone! Marigold - I've got a job working for the man, but I won't let him get me down, I'll actually be working at Best Buy Corporate, my first "suit" job, but I have a friend who works for the Current, who I'm trying to get to snag me a part time job there, which will maybe lead to more.... I LOVE the Current. As for place of residence, I will be a squatter for the next week or so on a friends couch, she lives in the burbs though and no offense to anyone in the burbs but I want to be where the action is, in like Uptown or NE Minneapolis, which is apparently "the new Uptown"

  6. Marigold says Sweet. NE is pretty sweet. It is an old neighborhood and depending where you land it could be pretty nice. NE has a lot of really cool neighborhood bars. I drive thru NE every day on the way to work. Uptown is sweet but kinda yuppy expensive. If you can swing it $$ wise you would be in a sweet part of town happenings wise. You would be closer to work though as Uptown is way closer to Best Buyville then NE. It would be sweet if you could score a gig at the Current. I am sure you could then get hooked up with going to see shows. They seem to promote quite a few. Well, stay in touch and maybe all out MPLS crew can get together sometime.

  7. Rawkkiddoh says Welcome to our little city, I hope you are excited to come. Great start with the walk across that bridge, we used to cross that to get to the Grain Belt building for some late night graffiti sessions. As you have seen though, that is now the place of the uber expensive condos, and nice little eateries. If you need advice on things to do, feel free to drop me a mogmail.........and for the record love that song by That Dog
