Fate's Right Hand

I was prompted to write this when runobodyii mentioned that they didn't know Rodney Crowell. I just happened across him by chance during a phase I went through where I would only watch Country Music Television 24/7. It was a phase that passed by quickly but it still exposed me to a whole group of artists I normally wouldn't have listened to. Rodney Crowell was one of them. 2. runobodyii says deadmandeadman, I feel like I'm stalking you. Guess we both just have good taste in music. BelovedListener, what a pleasant surprise! After tracking deadman to the Gary Louris page, I came on over here to do my Rodney Crowell homework. I'm a pretty good autodidact, but it all tastes better out of some other human's mouth. I'm ridiculously thrilled that poets Seamus Heaney and Mary Karr - - hell, that any poet at all - - make the list of folks that make him want to stick around. Who said no one reads poetry. This song actually reminds me of a song on the Darrell Scott alubm I was on about yesterday. The song I think is called "Two-Headed Eagle." And, forgive the butchery, it has one set of wings and two pair of eyes, one on the sky, and another that clings to all earthly things.
