While the cheap hotel may offer little in the way of comfort, the acoustic qualities of a bathroom with no shower curtain should not be ignored. The Refreshments´ ode, Here Comes Another Song About Mexico had excellent bass resonance and made the neighboring unit bang on the wall. Wall of Voodoo´s Mexican Radio was equally well received. Saturday night we watched a whole bunch of music video quality girls and vatos just rip the street in front of a 300 year old cathedral to ribbons under the lights as a salsa merigue rumba band belted it out for several hours. Very tight!
