On Christmas Eve, I received in the post a CD called "Strictly the Best #39", on VP Records. While a lot of the more hardcore dancehall stuff is a strain on these elderly ears, there are a few sweet vocals to be heard as well.

This track is by Tarrus Riley, son of Seventies singer Jimmy Riley, who enjoyed success both as one of the Sensatiions, then the Uniques and later as a soloist, and rides a remake of Bob Marley and the Wailers' 1975 tribute to Haile Selassie, co produced by Lee Perry - "Jah Live"

Solid groove.  Great vocals, especially the backing tracks.  Thanks for this and the tastee holdiay tracks posted through the last few weeks.
