is subtitled "For Massenet". Jules Massenet (1842-1912) was a French composer of operas, whose work Le Cid premiered at the Paris Opera in November 1885, with Polish tenor Jean de Reszke in the title role. In Act 3, prior to going into battle against the Moorish invaders, he prays, singing the aria "O Souverain, O Juge, O Pere".
