Ini Kamoze's eponymous debut LP from 1983

Posted over 3 years ago
is probably the most underrated reggae album ever, and one of the many albums that truly does deserve to be massively better known.produced by Sly & Robbie, and mixed in London by Paul "Groucho" Smykle, it stripped reggae down to its barest bones, each track being backed by drums, bass, guitar and piano, and nothing else.In addition, it spawned, many years later, two massive hit riddims. I think that mindful posted "World A Music" a few days back - the riddim for Damian Marley's "Welcome To Jamrock".The other never grow old tune on the album is of course, "General"

  1. Baudolino says And here is Luciano's take on the riddim. This was a massive hit in 1997 - it's called "Gun Zalis" ~xcynOv6zZBu.mp3~
