The late Johnny Jenkins

Posted almost 3 years ago

played guitar on Otis Redding's first session, back about 1964. In 1969-70 he was in the Muscle Shoals Studio with a band that eventually became the nucleus of the Allman Brothers Band, covering tunes by Dylan, Sleepy John Estes, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, and best of all - thistrack first recorded by Dr John

I love this tune..was it not sampled for Beck's Loser. Cher's version isn't too bad either, but it isn't up to Jenkins caliber, though they might have both been recorded at Fame.
