REGGAE SINGERS WHO DESERVE TO BE BETTER KNOWN NUMBER 5 - PRINCE LINCOLN THOMPSON
-
Artist:
Originally recording in the midsixties as one of The Tartans, he dropped out of recording when they split in 1969, resurfacing about 1973 with three stunning solo tracks for Studio One, then formed the (Royal) Rasses, who recorded for Neville King then United Artists in a sophisticated style from about 1979-81. Round about then I met him in Edinburgh, when he was on tour with a band featuring Pablove Black on organ and Jennifer Lara on vocals. He was a lovely man, who sadly died of cancer in 1999, aged only 49.This is one of his Studio One tunes
