Track:Usile [Silly]
This is their third appearance on MOG. They are from KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, and were hugely successful in the 1970s. Deaths of some founders between 1979 and 1983 ended their original line-up, but a form of the group, with two original members, kept going with new members and dancers, and played at the Cape Town Jazz Festival last year.
The most distinctive parts of their township jive sound were of course Moses Ngwenya's distinctive organ sound, and David Masondo's quavering tenor vocals, both of which are to the fore on this track, whose title means "Silly"

This is great. You're right about their organ and quavering tenor vocals, in fact the more they repeat the same melody over and over, the better I like it.
I'm with spike on this. Very Nice!
Once upon a time I could hardly go a day without a fix of township jive. Thanks for taking me back.
Five star. You can post these guys s many times as you like.
