Track:All On a Mardi Gras Day
Here, to follow on from my previous post and its response, are the Wild Magnolias themselves, from their 1999 album "Life Is A Carnival", recorded shortly before Monk Boudreaux' acrimonious departure from the line-up.
While researching this, I learned that not only did the Wild Magnolias guitarist Snooks Eaglin die last Wednesday, but that Antoinette K-Doe, widow of Ernie, and proprietrix of the Mother-in-Law Lounge, also passed away this morning.

Yikes - maybe you should stop looking! :-)
Loved the tune!!
Now, THAT'S ROLLIN'!
Yeah, lots of Snooks tunes on WWOZ all week. Great weather for this Mardi Gras today, we enjoyed it immensely. Next year we are going to figure out a way to see ZULU, still have not made it to that part of town on Mardi Gras.
hadn't heard about Antoinette yet... R.I.P. Mama.
a fine tune, thanks B!
