[Belle & Sebastian - Step Into My Office, Baby / 4:14]

Here's something for those who need to prove their productivity while doing nothing.

Wouldn't work be so much more interesting if one were paid for making charts and presentations - pie and other tarts- like the ones below?

Because all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy let's play, shall we. -- Can you name the songs represented by the graphs below?

You can find more graphs and charts on the Song Chart pool (Flickr)

3rd is "Nothing But Flowers" by The Talking Heads

Oooh, I know a couple of these!

First is Blue - Boys and Girls

Second is The Cure - Friday I'm In Love

Third ... I don't know. Ah, leaves something for the rest of y'all to chew on.

Bartleby says:

Contra: Crikey, you were quick. Indeed the 3rd one was the least obvious and was (Nothing But) Flowers on the "Naked" album.

Dale: I'm afraid there's nothing to chew on after your and Contra' brilliant answers. What about this one?

Yup, you're right Annie, I fouled up the band name and the title. :::hangs head:::

Umm, I don't know Michael, Death In Vegas - Have You Seen My Baby?

annieander says:

Didn't mean to correct...I was just excited that I got one right...my music knowledge is really crappy...

No worries. :)

Huummm... that last one... could it be Lisa Steinfield's Been Around the World?

The chorus goes like this: "Been around the world and I cant find my baby I dont know when, I dont know why Why hes gone away And I dont know where he can be, my baby But Im gonna find him"

ug. i wake up and i've been unundated by graphs on mog!? Bartleby - please really- consider your moggers mondays!

While it is a good idea.....I like Dale :::hang my head:::

Now for that second graph, the green dots in the pacific ocean really throw me off...so I am going to say it is a scan for cuban children refugees. Sadistic I know- but I figure at this point there's a slew throughout the nation- as well as some still en route?

hehehehe Top of the Morning to Ya!

BloodT: Sister, you're just too good at this game. It was indeed the horrendous earworm by Lisa Steinfield's -- You win the prize which is here.

Pixie: I'm sorry to bring the dull grey corporate world of productivity into your day. Promise won't do it again. Or will I?

Dachmo: Yes, you've guessed it right. Yours is "Hello Goodbye" by The Beatles. Click here to see another graph of another Fab Four song. -- Those graphs are pretty addictive after a while.

Mollifire: Nice to see in this humble abode. Thank you so much for the kind words. Here's another one for you only

Aug: Only too glad you like those kinds of futile musings.

I love the prize you awarded to Andrea, Michael! That was impressive & pretty funny too. I recognized all those sounds.

Bartleby says:

Mollifire: A smile is worth a thousand compliments

Aug: It's amazing that such annoying sounds can be turned into music, isn't it?

Posted
| Permalink
Augusts1 says:

Yea it is amazing. I have most of the sounds on my puter turned off cause they annoy me so!

bloodtea says:

What can I say... I tend to memorize the lyrics of songs I hate... (gosh, and how I hate that one) but HEY, I just loved the prize! Thank you, my dear one... I'm flattered.. seriously.

Annie: Will you ever forgive me for overlooking your brilliant answer? That clip was so DYI it's almost scary. -- Damon's come a long since that one, hasn't he?

Aug: I think the MS Windows beeps and jingles must be the most played music on this planet - what a depressing thought.

BloodT: Glad you like your prize. (I had to keep it in line with the whole office theme).

Charley: It's always fun to have you around. Thanks for popping in.

Michael -> glad you're back, you bring such fun on a crappy tuesday. the song reminds me of Sturgell's post of what music is in your head when you are not listening to some sort of device, I hear a circus like song playing slowly and off key, kind of like this tune! thanks for the nightmares to come, a big sad clown slowly stomping behind me as I run away.

the charts, oh yeah. that intersecting circles one, boys who do boys like they're girls...brilliant!

Thanks, Joe. It's nice to be back but I must say things are desperately quiet on MOG right now. What's going on? Recession?

Since you've mentioned them, here's a graph which was made with you mind

Michael -> Thermometer of scary is outstandingly correct in my life. There's a couple missing though -> Porcelain Dolls have to be near the top for me, their friggin EYES man!!! -> Cabbage Patch Kids freak me the hell out, it's like a voodoo doll, bad stuff seems to happen if they're within a few hundred feet.

-> Not sure if maybe I'm just unintelligent, but the list seems to be missing the #2 most scariest thing for me besides clowns -> VENTRILOQUIST DUMMIES! -> Ever have a moment you can watch a 'mystery science theater 2000' type movie, watch 'Dead Silence' -> it enhanced my already bile-like taste for them, but it was an all together horrid movie, one of the Walhberg brothers was in it, but not Mark.

Is the new avatar a shadow of a man riding a minotaur?
