  2. Augusts1 says Very sexy song. Beck conjurs up quite some erotic images w/that guitar!

  5. scotfree says Damn Michael, was holding this vinyl just yesterday. Gotta pull it now. Nice list - I've heard half of those, now I'll know what goes together. Beck's string pings and perfect tone had gotten fuzzy up there. Damn...

  9. Mike the Knife says My abso fave Jeff Beck album, unmarred by vocals - pure, uncut Jeff. And this beauty of a track will tell you why I feel this way. (P.S. Great bittersweet mix there, Bart.)

  10. bloodtea says __"Interior with a Girl at the Clavier"__... gosh, I love your taste in paintings (you basically sum up all the wonderful colours of those big dusty books, back there on the shelf)... and the mix? Well, no mix is mini with Jeff Beck in it..

  11. Bartleby says *Sturgell*: Yes, and Bloodtea was kind enough to provide the full title of this piece by Danish painter Vilhelm Hammershøi (wiki-link) *Aug*: Glad you like that Beck - Here's the original of the cut composed by Stevie Wonder for his protégée Syreeta. *RGM*: I was hoping you'd like it being the fine musician that you are. *vtsnowbird26*: Thank for visiting these humble shores. I feel the same way about most of Jeff's production (even his electronica) *Scot*: What can I say? Serendipitous, perhaps. By the way, I wish I had it on vinyl. All I have is a boring silvery plastic disc. *Mollifire*: Thanks for popping in - sometimes I wish I took keep a photograph of such things. *Spike*: Newfangled should not be an excuse for not checking the link below. *Charley*: Your spot-on comments are always appreciated. Ta! *Mike*: It's hard not to like "Blow By Blow" and call oneself music addict, innit? Thanks for the kind words - check link at the bottom of this for the full mix. *BloodT*: Sister, you know I'm a man of simple unoriginal tastes. Thanks ever so much for your lovely comments. -- Needs some help with the dusting? PS: If you fancy a listen of the mini-mix, it's available on this zipped link.

  12. ivylander says He shoots, he scores. Or should that be in the past tense, given the subject matter?

  13. bloodtea says Brother, when it comes to this, __unoriginal__ is ok in my book ! Uhh and thank you for sharing this precious mini-mix with us! P.S.- What's a __itemN026713.asp__? ;)

  16. darmuzz says Ooh, very moody. I hope this is not in response to any personal suffering, Bartleby. If so, please be well!

  17. Bartleby says *Ivy*: Reading your comment out loud, I had to repress some rather embarrassing laughters in my library. *BloodT*: Stop your thank yous, you're making me blush - Apologies for the mis-coding: here's the help for your dusting *Dzend*: You know that I've got a penchant for the sensuous ;) *Darm*: Thanks for your kind words but nothing's happened to me. It's just one of those sentences which I found quite inspiring.

  20. indiepixie says bart. not sure i have much more to add except what's already been said...except i want a picture of that wall on shoreditch. There's a great collection of profound graffitti posts these days that are even making it to publication :) knowing your knack for finding appropriate picts....I am surprised you couldn't round it up! :) cheers cheers, IP

  22. Bartleby says *Ivy*: I'm particular in my library where the PCs are just in front of the librarian's desk. -- Stifled giggles don't really project a serious attitude when you're to use the I-net for research. *BloodT*: I also wanted these for you but they were out of stock *Pixie*: Sorry, I won't be able to oblige. If you knew Shoreditch, you'd know it's not really the place you'd want to go with your camera -- especially if you want to bring your camera home with you. *Sturg*: Hammershøi painted only one woman, almost always the same. That woman would never face us. -- If you happen to be in Denmark, make sure to check his works at the Museet på Koldinghus in Jutland.
