Fond Lee remembered: a brief tribute to Lee Hazlewood

Posted about 4 years ago

Lee Hazlewood, best known for the boots in which Nancy Sinatra walked has died Saturday at his home in Henderson, Nevada at the age of 78.

Perhaps less iconic than other cult producers songwriters and singers, Hazlewood has been unfairly overlooked in favour of his contemporaries such Burt Bacharach or Phil Spector.
In my eyes and my ears however, he will always be fondly remembered for his quirky and almost nonsensical songs such as "Sand."

Lee Hazlewood has left us. Fortunately, his music will still shoot us down. Bang! Bang! to him then.
