August 9, 2006Brian Michael VaughnHe told me that he liked my smile. So we spent the next hour or so sneaking glances at each other and exchanging little bits of conversation. He took a sip of my green tea, I wrote him hi in really big letters on my laptop screen. It was great. He walked me to my car, asked me if I liked mermaids, I said yes. I said he should call, he said he would. Thats where we are now. He has a sort of calmness to him, almost zen-like, if it werent for his sparkly bright eyes, full of energy. He strikes me as a very natural person. His hair is long and messy, his smile is a real one, not forced but one that you can tell he means. Hes short but looks me right in the eye, like he can read me. His tan skin exudes a glow, like it would be warm if I touched it. The whole night felt like one of those teenage moments where you inch closer and closer hoping to brush up against someone, one of those frustrating moments when you want to feel something more but the moment is wrong. It just builds up the suspense, excites your senses, makes you want to know.
