Does Anyone Remember 120 Minutes on MTV?

Three Videos to ease my mind on this "Manic Monday"... 1. Belly - "Feed the Tree" 2. Elastica - "Connection" 3. Cocteau Twins - "Carolyn's Fingers"

  2. indieguy311 says Those are all great classic alternative songs. I'd never seen the videos for them - I wasn't plugged in to 120 minutes back then (or whatever it was called - Alternative Nation?).

  3. Jenn67 says Oh, yes! Most definitely. I was an avid watcher and these were among my favorites! My son really likes the Belly song as well. Guess I'm bringing my children up right.

  4. SamTheButcher says As Misstee says, they still have a "120 Minutes" show on VH1 classic. Although without Kevin Seal or Dave Kendall. (I can still do a killer Dave Kendall impression. That and $5 will get me a mocchiata frappalattecino half-caf no milk)

  5. RGM says Elastica! I remember that tune, I dug the 90's better that the 80's. Thought that alternative rock was one of the best scene's to date.

  6. Groon says Used to watch whenever I could back in the day. Now, you can't even get videos on MTV2!

  7. White and Nerdy says Hell yeah, I used to live and die by that show when I was in high school. I was sad to see Dave Kendall go. I thought he was good host. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

  8. Samuel says I remember 120 Minutes! That was back when they played music. What a crazy concept that was. :)

  9. fistula spume says It's burned in my brain. I wish MTV would take some smelling salts and put 120 minutes in a DVD box set. Hell if they could put a lot of their old series on DVD box sets my days would be happy.

  12. ketut says The one song I remember from 120 minutes for some strange reason is Dear God by XTC. Now does anyone remember Midnight Special? They now do infomercials for DVD's from that 70's show.
