Once
We had a bunch of people over last night and we watched the 2006 musical, Once. Muscal in the sense that there aren't 6 minutes straight of footage that they aren't singing, but its about people that sing a lot so it doesn't seem forced like some show tunes number. Anyway it was magical, and now, my roommates and I are summarily obsessed with this soundtrack.

I can't say many articulate things right now about music. Bu ti will tell you that i'm listening to the new Paul McCartney* and it feels like it was mad in 1969. Sorta like if Paul tied John ins closet and decided to make Abbey Road by himself. Ok not the track I'm hearing now with some sort of metal guitar solo (seriously). I've been loving Phil Schaap on the Colombia University radios stations. He is a jazz scholar has these long broadcasts playing jazz and putting them in context. He'll speak for about 20 minutes about every musicican in a 5 minute piece and give you loads of superfluous information.
