So here's the story. SOmehow in decmeber i hear dof the new show From the Basement that was created by the legendary produce of Radiohead and others, Nigel Goodrich.
I looked at the list of artists and realized i hadn't heard of half of them (mostly european) but the half I DID recognize were amongst my favorite artists ever. As it happens I'v epretty much fallen in love with all the artists I hadn't heard before.
Unfortunately, I was only able to discover a few because I moved into a new building and had no internet for month. Only now did it dawn on my to revisit the website, when i was listening to my Lovage station pandora and this amazing Zero 7 song came up. I looked up there profile on said site and discovered that their latest album, The Garden, inludes collborations with the truly astonishing José González, whom i disovered via the From the Basement website.
SO that's my 6 degrees of musical ecstasy. Enjoy.

My Trusted MOGs
I may be in the minority, but I like Zero 7. They get a lot of airplay on XM Cafe and XM The Loft. But music critics seem very down on them. One review compared them to Toad the Wet Sprocket, which I guess I can understand, but seems like its snobby.

Critics never seem to know shtt about music. Movies I almost always agree with them, but on music I almost always disagree. i think Movie critics are more objective and music critics are just snobby and jaded.

What's the URL for the basement show? Sounds pretty cool
As for Zero 7, they are a good, mellow group. I like them when I'm in chill mode.
