Van in NY

Sorry I took a few days to get back to thisVan was spectacular Monday night at Jones Beach, cramming a lot of material into a one hour and forty minute performance, new and old stuff , highlights for me/us being Crazy Love, Moondance {with a nearly full moon visible over the top of the amphitheatre}, Saint James Infirmary {I felt like I was at a funeral march on Bourbon Street, the right combo of players for this lovely old ballad}, There Stands the Glass {so appropo for us}, Big Blue Diamonds, a rousing rendition of Playhouse, and so much more....getting out of the parking lot was insane but we managed without a scratch....an overnight in a cheap motel and a ride out to Fire Island for some frolicking in the sun and surf capped off a great week. And when I arrived home Bruce Hornsby's new box set was waiting on my doorstep....autographed; from Bruce to Bruce ! fun stuff !
