As previously reported here and there The Dead will be performing a concert in support of Obama for America with performances by Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart, as well as Gregg Allman, Butch Trucks, Jaimoe, Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, Marc Quinones, Oteil Burbridge, and Jeff Chimenti Monday, October 13th, 2008 at the Bryce Jordan Center, Pennsylvania State University.
Tuesday the 14th is my birthday, maybe it's time to get packin' for a road trip. Anybody want to lend me 2500 bucks for a seat in the VIP section? Never mind, I'm probably more comfortable in the cheap ($50) seats anyway.
Tickets go on sale Friday at Noon.
The Vid is "So Many Roads" at Soldier Field 7-9-95 (part 2 in comments)

Sounds like a great show. I'd go just for the music. But I sure wouldn't wear a McCain T-shirt, the tolerent crowd can be awfully vicious.
Just like the Sox and Yankees around here everybody's got their views and you might be welcomed with open arms by some folks there sporting your McCain T.
Yeah, and shredded by others.
Sox or Yanks?
Not a real big fan of baseball, but let's say anti-yanks.
Under different circumstances, I'd lend you the money, but now with the relocation and all....lol!
I always thought that people have a crappy time on their birthday, but you'll be one happy grateful dead pony :)
It's about a seven hour drive from here so i'm seeing if i can work out the details without it getting to be too expensive, hotel, etc..
Maybe if you just paid for the petrol Anna I'd be all set;)
Erm, I'd actually rather pay for the VIP ticket...lol!
wish i could get there for this. hope you get a st stephen>eleven bruce
I wasn't online at noon and now I think it's sold out, I've tried half a dozen times so far :(
