Widespread Panic has recently released "Carbondale 2000" recorded live at Southern Illinois University Arena in Carbondale, IL on December 1, 2000, this very special multi-track recording, (three disc set), features all of the original band members.
For fans of Widespread Panic, Carbondale 2000 has been a long time coming. Since the death of co-founder and original lead guitarist Michael Houser on August 10, 2002, the band has kept the archive locked up, refusing to release any full shows featuring Houser.
The tracks are too numerous to post here, besides that might take some of the fun out of it but I will say the cover of Winwood's "Low Spark of High Heeled Boys" was just one of the many highlights for me, (too long to load at 28 MB).
Dead Heads have Dick's Picks, Phish Heads have Live Phish and now Spread Heads have the Widespread Panic Archives.
