I spent a lot of today glued to the telly watching the inaugural festivities and monitoring the tweets on the puter, I have to say I was pretty impressed by it all.
Let's just see if we can all live up to the challenge of turning this mess around, get us some peace and start spreading the wealth or what's left of it.
Reminds me of that depression era axiom - "Use It Up. Wear It Out. Make It Do. and Do Without." more is not always the answer... I've been trying to play a more active role in the things happening around me lately, postphoning that early retirement I was never going to be able to afford anyway and devoting more of my attention to the moment.
Anyway, Umphrey's McGee released Mantis today, have just started to digest it but so far I'm liking what I'm hearing.
I run hot and cold with Umphrey's, not always able to fathom the depths of their teeth-wrenching jams but really dig coming back up to the surface, as I'm gulping for air, wading in the shallows awhile and then yearning to dive in again. So it is with Mantis, I'm ready to jump in once again.

g'mornin' Anna, another day in the shuffle, cold and damp perhaps but there is an overdue warming of the heart due to the changes in the political landscape.
