   RandomRock says Love that song--in fact--I tend to lean on the oldies more than the newbies. If you like Joni's "River" there's a wonderful cover of it by Ben Jelen, I tried to upload it but after I upload it and play it---it turns into Joni Mitchell's version! magic. But If you'd like to hear it--it's all over the download spaces, like itunes: "River" album "Breaking For the Holidays"--he definitely did it justice, lemme know what you think.. In fact I'll try to upload his version again..

   contrabandwidth says One of the all time most simple but profound songs. I have to ad a word of criticism though. There seems to be a proliferation of artists using digitally processed acoustic guitars (Ms. Mitchell seems to have gravitated towards it in this cut), a sound that just leaves me cold. Has every engineer forgotten how to mic an acoustic? I don't know enough about guitars to know whether it is digital pickups or just a decrease in quality, but I want to hear fingers squeaking on strings and sustain (the sustain seems particularly hurt by newer "digital" acoustics). I hear it in a lot of music (Dave Mathews comes to mind) and it just feels flat and soul-less, and I'm not even a purest in most things, I just miss how acoustics used to sound on records.
