I'm Fiending Over Feist!

I discovered Feist's new cd over a month ago & have just fallen in love with her unusual style of singing/music. I actually had seen/heard vids of hers by other moggers too like Miketheknife & a few others. The first vid I saw was of her "1234" which just captivated my attention due to the group choreographed dancing in it. I've been listening to Feist's new cd "The Reminder" which just has some amazing songs on it, hell, the whole cd is great!

I posted two vids of hers("1234" & "My Moon My Man") on Fistula Spume's post yesterday as a recommendation for a mix he's making and that made me want to listen to her new album again. I went to Youtube to find some other vids I could post from the new cd & found a live version of "Sea Lion Woman" that is really amazing:

I don't quite know what it is about Feist's voice that I love so much. It's not a powerful voice, that's for sure, but maybe it's the fragile sounding nature of it that gets me, or maybe the scratchy quality to it. I know she is really able to convey much emotion when she sings. Here's another song I love:I think it's also the sparse & simple melodies as well. Yet the songs convey so much complexity because of Feist's voice. There's also an undeniable catchiness to many of the songs too. Whatever it is, she's won me over!

Augusts1 says Robs, I haven't listened to any Broken Social Scene even though I know she's part of their band on occasion. I'm just getting into Feist so I'll have to check them out as well. Thanx! Feist's version of Sea Lion is just so good, I can see why it's your theme song. Tripbro, I have heard a few songs off her first one but I'm still enjoying this new one now. I'll eventually get her first I'm sure. FP, you're not terrible! You're just unenlightened to the wonders of Feist. Here's the vid/song that got me hooked: "1234":

Augusts1 says HAHAHA! It's a great song & the video is just so fun yet simple kinda like the song. I just love dancing in a vid cause it just gives a whole new life to a song to see people moving to it. Glad you've joined the Feist nation FP! I had heard alot about her but once I saw this on someone else's post it grabbed me & I had to hear more. And Feist is just so adorable too. How can anyone resist her & her blinding light of enlightenment? heh
