Good goddess, I can't believe it's been over ten years since BT's debut cd came out in '96. As the saying goes "time flies . . . . " I didn't pick this up until '98 . I was blown away by the gorgeous soundscapes on this album. And, of course, Tori Amos does the vocals on the beautiful track "Blue Skies". I couldn't get enough of this song when I bought the cd. Tori 'n trance, what a combo! This became the hit song but every song is great on this. It's a two disc collection which includes on the 2nd disc a 42 min. 45 sec. electronic opus called "Sasha's Voyage Of Ima" that is an extended remix of most of the songs from the album. Incredible to listen to on a full moonlit night or in a room full of lit candles."Dreaming" from his "ESCM" album(no vids for "Ima" on Youtube & I really looked):ESCM is a great cd as well but "Ima" was my intro. to BT so I still have a soft spot in my heart for it. How many DJ's would have the balls to release a 2 disc debut album? It's amazing & if you've not heard it & you're into dance music it's a classic must hear.BT is Brian Transeau who lives in L.A. and has released 5 studio albums(three of which I own). His last cd came out just last Sept. 2006 along with an accompanying film called "This Binary Universe". He grew up in the Washington DC area & attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA for one year before moving to L.A.http://www.btmusic.com/http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Transeau
