WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

More Ozo For Your Matli!

Posted over 2 years ago
Ok, since my puter wouldn't allow me to upload songs last night & it is today I'm posting a few more for all ya'all to hear. "Como Ves" was featured as an instrumental on the program "Bill Nye The Science Guy" as their theme song at the intro to the program, so you might recognize this. It's a very energetic, fun song!I'll post another song in the comments for your listening pleasure called "Cut Chemist Suite". Cut Chemist used to be their DJ in the band but he broke out on his own. It's a jammin' funky song!

  7. Augusts1 says Laura, their infectious songs, glad you like 'em. I'm part hispanic myself but didn't really start speaking it till later in life(since my grandparents wanted the family to speak English to fit in). So I'm learning now. Never too late, lol! Glad I could get your morning off to a great start Triplet! Teejaleo & Desiree, yvw. Most people have seen Bill's program & thus heard the song, so I knew people would recognize it from that source!

  8. chucky says I recognize this song, although not from Bill Nyes (I had Mr. Wizard growing up) so I don't know where I've heard it. I like it, very dancey.

  9. Augusts1 says I didn't have Bill Nyes growing up either, for me it was Captain Kangaroo, Sesame Street & that "Won't you be my neighbor?" guy. I just liked his program cause he broke down science concepts into very understandable thoughts, plus he was from Seattle. When I had cable I'd watch kids programs just for kicks, lol! It's amazing what you'll watch when there's nothing else on!

  10. chucky says Haha...I think Mr. Rogers is who you meant up there. From my understanding Bill Nyes is alot like Mr. Wizard. Mr. Wizard was cool as shit, I seem to remember :)

  11. Augusts1 says Yup, that's who I meant! If you have watched Bill at all then you heard Ozo's song. Not heard of Mr. Wizard, he must've been local. There was some local guy when I was growing up, even went on his program but can't recall his damn name, lol! Oh well!

  12. chucky says You got me wondering so I wiki'd it. Mr. Wizard, it turns out, was original aired in the 1950s but made a brief comeback in 71-72 and again from 83-90. In the 83-90 period (which would've been when I watched) it aired on Nickelodeon. I thought it aired on PBS, go figure.

  13. chucky says Wait a second, I read your comment too fast. You got to go on one of those science shows? How cool! Did you get to do a cool experiment?
    Permalink posted 04/30/2007
  14. Augusts1 says No, my local guy wasn't a science guy, just some dork who's name I can't recall, lol!
    Permalink posted 04/30/2007
  15. chucky says Um, ok...hahaha...so what did you do on his show?
    Permalink posted 04/30/2007
  16. Augusts1 says Danced naked w/a see through pink tutu on, hehehe! No really, I wasn't naked, lol!
    Permalink posted 04/30/2007
  17. chucky says Pink tutus are seriously underrated don't you think. ;P Hahahaha....
    Permalink posted 04/30/2007
  18. Augusts1 says Very, lol!!!!! Seriously though it was a kids cartoon show so there was alot of other kids that sat on these appointed seats & he'd interview us & we'd cheer & shit. You know, typical kid show stuff.

  19. Librarianguish says Great music! Turns out they'll be playing at Sasquatch, and I'm happy to have this sneak preview. Thanks! As for Bill Nye - did you ever watch him on Almost Live? He's very funny, no matter what he's up to.

  20. Augusts1 says Yes, I saw they were playing Sasquatch on their website, Librarian. Glad I could give you a preview. Didn't see Bill on Almost Live. I don't have cable(I refuse to pay the exorbitant fees for ALOT of crap that's on cable). I see some cable TV at friend's houses but that's it. I watch movies & concert dvds, that way I can watch what I want when I want to & no I don't need a Tivo either, lol!

  21. Librarianguish says I don't watch tv anymore myself, but used to try to catch Almost Live when I could. From YouTube (I knew they'd come through for me!) And not Bill Nye, but pretty darn funny...

  22. Augusts1 says Omg, tff! Bill Nye as speed walker is hilarious & so is the beauty academy. Thanks LA, dontcha just love Youtube? So was Almost Live a local Seattle show? I grew up in Portland, OR but now live in N. CA.

  23. Librarianguish says Almost Live was indeed a local show up here in Seattle. A lot of the humor poked fun at the different areas around Seattle, but some of it was more general. Always funny! I love watching the old skits now and then. Here's one more... (I'm posting it unwatched because my computer is loading slower than I have the patience for right now...but I'm sure it's good) Cheers!
    Permalink posted 05/01/2007
  24. Augusts1 says Hehe! How appropriate LA, the skit takes place in a library, lol! Really funny thanks!
    Permalink posted 05/01/2007
  25. Librarianguish says I picked it special...finally watched it - that really IS a good one! Wish I could "Be Like Billy" and whup some noisy butts in the library sometimes.
    Permalink posted 05/01/2007
  26. Augusts1 says I bet you do! That would be awesome to "Be Like Billy", I'm sure you wouldn't have anyone making a sound if you whupped ass like he did. I loved it when he went flying through the air feet first chasing the noisy guy & he's reciting each section of the library he's flying through, omg that was hilarious! Then he ends with hitting the guy in the "History" section, tff!!! I gotta watch it again now, heh, thanks for posting it LA!
    Permalink posted 05/01/2007
  27. Librarianguish says My pleasure! Glad you liked it. I'm thinking I should just open up my own library anyhow, as I'm becoming more and more displeased with the trend toward rather fascistic policies I see happening. The latest trend - guilty until proven guiltier! Everybody is surely out to pull one over on us, aren't they? Cheat us out of extra internet time, steal books...you know how it is. Grrrrr.
